missing you

I decided to do another nuzlocke-y thing and again went a bit overboard, haha.

This is for 's Kick@$$ Gijinka Contest. (info found here: yindragon.deviantart.com/journ…).

's FireRed Kick@$$ Mode is one of my favorite nuzlockes, and his stuff is one of the things that inspired me to do my own nuzlocke.  If you haven't read his comics yet, then you are missing out on something awesome, so go check it out right now.

Anyway, here we have Pecks the Fearow.

I wasn't really sure of entering in the contest at first, mainly due to lack of confidence. But I was doodling around some designs and made a sad Pecks.  I kinda liked it and turned it into a full blown gijinka. I wanted to emulate the scene in the comic where Mew transforms into Buzz and talks with Pecks. I thought the moment was one of the most touching in the comic, so I tried to make the scenery and mood similar. This is one of the longest times I've spent on doing a background, I think.

As for the design choices - I ended up making Pecks look more Native American than Spanish, oops. But that's were the design went in my head for some reason, so I just went with it.  The fuzzy neckline of the vest is supposed to emulate the shoulders of his wings, while the flares on the pants are supposed to be his feathers.  Spiky red hair was an obvious choice for his head crest.  I also drew moccasins because they kept with the feathery looking theme, I thought. Though I think pink/peach was a strange shoe color, I wanted it to be the same as Pecks' feet.  The necklace, spiked bracelet, and tattoo were just fun additions that I thought fit his character.
